​Dear friends, On May 19 an evening dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the birth of the People's Artist of the USSR Alexander Alekseevich Ostuzhev (1874-1953) was held in the Memorial Apartment. At the evening, excerpts from Alexander Ostrovsky’s play Guilty Without Guilt were played, in which Alexander Alekseevich played the role of Neznamov, with audio recordings of Ostuzhev’s voice.

​Dear friends, On May 18, the Memorial Apartment of A.I. Sumbatov-Yuzhin took part in the annual “Night of Museums”. This time the artists of the Maly Theatre, Lyubov Eshchenko, Stanislav Soshnikov, and Alexander Naumov, together with the head of the memorial apartment, Vera Tarasova, and our dear guests, read Alexander Ivanovich Sumbatov’s play The Gentleman.

Dear friends, On October 13, the first excursion dedicated to the famous actor and director of the Maly Theatre Alexander Pavlovich Lensky will be held in the Memorial apartment of A.I. Sumbatov-Yuzhin.

On September 17, according to tradition, the Maly Theatre remembers A.I. Sumbatov-Yuzhin. We asked the people's artists of Russia Valeriy Afanasyev, Vasiliy Bochkaryov and Alexander Ermakov to read a few fragments from Yuzhin's speech to the theatre company delivered in 1909. ​Dear friends, On November 26, 2017 an exceptional evening called «"Boldly for the first time I take complete responsibility for his entire life": Alexander Yuzhin and Alexander Ostuzhev» was held in A.I.Sumbatov-Yuzhin's Memorial Apartment. The evening was held by the Chief Funds Curator of the Maly Theatre's museum Nadezhda Telegina. Elena Rakitina’s fairy tale «The Adventures of the New Year’s Toys» was staged at one of Maly Theatre’s venues - A.I.Sumbatov-Yuzhin's Memorial Apartment. The production team included actors of the Maly Theatre and their friends-musicians. The production immediately became very popular among the audience and thus it was necessary to appoint an additional show - on the eve of the Old New Year. Coverage by Anastasia Egorova.
