Aleksey Sergeevich Kudinovich, People's Artist of Russia, was born on March 2, 1951. After graduating in 1973 from the Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School (the course of V.I. Tsygankov), Kudinovich was invited to join the company of the Maly State Academic Theatre.

Aleksey Kudinovich is an actor, endowed with a very versatile personality, outstanding talent and impeccable taste. Having the confidence, energy and many years of professional experience, he always shows good understanding of dramatic techniques. The breadth of talents along with excellent acting techniques allow Kudinovich to create characters with truthful and compelling inner lives.

Among the first noteworthy roles of Aleksey Kudinovich in the Maly Theatre was the tragic-comic old man Bogdan Kuryukov ( «Tsar Fyodor Ioannovich» by Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy, directed by Boris Ravenskikh), who literally falls apart in front of the audience, but who,nonetheless, defiantly defends his beliefs. A colorful character appeared on stage only once, but it was one of the most memorable episodes in this remarkable production.

For almost 40 years of service in the Maly Theatre Aleksey Kudinovich performed more than sixty roles in multiple genres. Aleksey Kudinovich is one of the so-called play-actors. He is truly passionate about his work and his craft. Creating a new image, he takes his transformations to the extreme.
