Tatiana Korotkova, Honored Artist of Russia, was born on May 12. In 1982, she graduated from the VTU he graduated from Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School (the course of Mikhail Tsaryov) and joined the company of the Maly State Academic Theatre of Russia.
Korotkova possesses reason adorned with virtue, sincerity and common Russian beauty and charm. She is known for having a magnificent deep voice. Starting with lyrical images, she gradually revealed her talent as a character actress. In each of her roles, Tatiana manifests an extraordinary ability to penetrate deeply into the psychology of her characters, a fine sense of style and genre, a bright temperament and a sense of humor.
Tatiana’s creative biography is closely linked with Anton Chekhov’s plays. One of her first roles was the maid Dunyasha in the legendary production «The Cherry Orchard» staged by Igor Ilyinskiy. Raised at the manor house, she could not absorb neither the refinement, nor the high cultural level of Gaev and Ranevskaya. Dunyasha played by Tatyana Korotkova is simpering and stupid; but at the same time,she stirs to pity, since, together with her landlords, she is absolutely unfit for a «new life» that sweeps away the old, obsolete world.
Tatyana Korotkova appeared in numerous films and television shows.
For several years, the actress has been running «The Little Prince» theatre studio at the Children's Center «Solnechniy Krug» in Khamovniki. Tatyana Ivanovna's pupils are from 5 to 12 years old; and the theatre’s repertoire consists of Russian folk tales («Teremok», «Repka»), Krylov’s fables. «The Little Prince» theatre studio took part in the Festival of Children's Theatre Collectives with the play «Repka» and was awarded with the diploma «For the most fairy theatre».
Korotkova also teaches individual courses on balance of the body and voice-training.
