Nataliya Leonidovna Boronina was born on December 30. She graduated with honors from the Mikhail Semyonovich Shchepkin Higher Theatre School (course of Mikhail Tsaryov. Among her teachers were Leonid Kheyfets and Rimma Solntseva). In 1982 she joined the Maly Theatre's company.
Charming, witty and eloquent, Nataliya is endowed with a bright personality in real life. In each role, regardless of its scale, Natalia Boronina reveals her outstanding talents.
In 1988 Nataliya Boronina played Kathleen in «Long Day's Journey Into Night» by Eugene O'Neill. This production placed itself among the best productions of the Maly Theatre thanks to powerful acting of the actors involved. Boronina naturally complemented the acting of her eminent colleagues.
Another significant work of the actress was Elizabeth - one of the central characters of the Nedyalko Yordanov's «The Murder of Gonzago». She portrays a jealous shepherdess, who became an actress, and who showed true bravery and courage at the time of danger.
Nataliya Boronina appeared in many popular TV shows: «Olga 2», «Perfume», «University. New Dorm» and others.
She is also involved with voice acting. One of her works worth mentioning is the Princess-Swan in «The Tale of Tsar Saltan». It is a feature-length animated film, directed by Ivan Ivanov-Vano that received the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
As a director, she directed 10 documentary films about the theatre for the Kultura.rf website: «Theatre Designers» (2015), «Young Theatres» (2015), «The Big Life of the Maly Theatre» (2015), «Moscow Art Theatre: Wandering Backstage» (2015), and others.
She was awarded the medal «In memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow» and the Diploma of the Ministry of Defense for performing in the zones of the Chernobyl accident.
