ANDREEV Vladimir Alekseevich is a Soviet, Russian actor and director. He was born on August 27, 1930 in Moscow. In 1952 he graduated from the State Institute of Theatrical Art named after A.V. Lunacharsky (his teachers were A.A. Goncharov and A.M. Lobanov). In 1952 he became the chief director at the Ermolova Theatre and in 1990 the artistic director of the theatre. In the cinema Andreev has been since 1954 («True Friends»). In 1985-88 he was the chief director of the Maly Theatre. Professor of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (until 1991 GITIS). People's Artist of Tatarstan. People's Artist of the RSFSR. People's Artist of the USSR (1985). His wife is an actress Natalya Selezneva.
