THE SHCHEPKIN THEATRE SCHOOL STARTS ITS 210 ACADEMIC YEAR
Dear friends,
On September 2, a solemn line devoted to the start of the school year was held at the Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School. Freshmen were welcomed by the rector Boris Lyubimov, artistic director of the Maly Theatre Yuri Solomin, and People's artist of Russia Boris Kluyev.
The Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School is one of the oldest educational institutions in Russia. Most the Maly Theatre's company is made of its graduates. This season, eight former students joined the Maly's team: Anastasia Goryacheva, Ekaterina Kazakova, Maria Kriventseva, Varvara Shatalova, Evgeniy Voronov, Ignatiy Kuznetsov, Vladimir Tyaptushkin and Kirill Shvartsenberg.
