THE MALY THEATRE RECEIVES AN AWARD AT THE ANNUAL ARCHITECTURAL COMPETITION
On August 10 Sergey Sobyanin, Moscow Mayor,sincerely congratulated all those who are making a worthy contribution to development of the country’s construction industry with a professional holiday – Construction Workers Day. He also awarded the winners of the city contest «The best implemented project in the field of construction». 36 projects were elected by a professional competition commission and open vote of the citizens.
This year the city's competition commission established a special prize «Project of year». And the award went to «nature-landscape Park «Zaryadye». In addition, following a public citywide vote, the Park was nominated in the category «The best implemented project of construction of cultural and educational purpose.»
In the nomination «The best implemented project of restoring and adapting the cultural heritage properties for modern use», the award was presented for the reconstruction of the historical building of the Maly Theatre (project developer - Zarubezhproekt LLC), the reconstruction of the Tatishchev estate (general contractor - Architects of the North-West) and a multifunctional complex «Theater House» on Povarskaya Street (customer - PJSC "Gals-Development").
People's Artist of Russia Alexander Klukvin expressed gratitude on behalf of the theatre to the architects and the city authorities for the reconstruction of the historical stage of the Maly Theatre.
