On May 11 within the framework of the 12th International Theatre Festival "Ostrovsky in the House of Ostrovsky" an the evening from the cycle "A Talk Before The Performance" in A.I. Sumbatova-Yuzhin's Memorial Apartment. The guests of the evening were representatives of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre.
During the evening that was hosted by candidate of art criticism, leading research associate of the State Institute of Art Studies, Nataliya Vagapova, unique photos and newspaper articles, dedicated to the tour of Yuzhin in March 1901 in Serbia - were presented to the guests. Alexander Ivanovich was elected honorary director of the Serbian Royal Theatre and was honoured with a Serbian Order of St. Sava, 3rd Class Commander; Type III.
Among the honorary guests of the evening were General Manager of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre Tamara Vučković Manojlović and dramaturg Miloš Krečković, who talked about the performance "A Profitable Position" that was shown within the framework of the festival as well as about their love of the Russian classics and the Russian theatre. The evening turned out to be very warm and friendly, the guests answered the questions of the audience with pleasure and promised to come again with tours to Moscow.
