VASILIY DAKHNENKO. SPEAK, I'M INTERESTED!
A new series of interviews is dedicated to voice artists, who are twice as interesting to listen to - thanks to their familiar voices. The guest of the first episode is Vasiliy Dakhnenko. After graduating from the Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School, he joined the Maly Theatre’s stock company, where he played many remarkable roles. Right after graduating from the theatre school Vasiliy took part in the auditions for the «Aladdin» voice-over, but failed. Then he auditioned for the «Sesame Street» voice-over and landed the role of Vlas (Bert in the original). Dakhnenko is well known for being the Russian dubbing voice of Matthew McConaughey, Jake Gyllenhaal, Gerard Butler, Sacha Baron Cohen, Ben Affleck, Christoph Waltz and others. He also voiced Alistair from the computer game «Dragon Age».
