WORLD THEATRE DAY AT A.I. SUMBATOV-YUZHIN’S MEMORIAL APARTMENT
Dear friends!
We invite all of you to come and celebrate with us the World Theatre Day on March 27. The event program includes:
1. Free entrance from 12:00 to 18:00.
2. «Captains of the Maly Theatre» film screening. The movie is dedicated to the greatest artists in the history of Russian theatre,whose life was inextricably linked to the Maly Theatre. Among them are Alexander Lensky, Alexander Sumbatov-Yuzhin, Prov Sadovsky, Konstantin Zubov, Mikhail Tsaryov, Yuri Solomin, the artistic leaders, responsible for determining the creative vision of the theatre and its repertory, assembling the company and preserving the integrity of the Maly Theatre. The filmmakers tried to examine the question of leadership. Is it possible to remain a leading actor, while being the leader of the group at the same time? In spite of different social backgrounds, types of personality, beliefs and talents, they are all united by the selfless love and attachment to their Home, the Maly Theatre, and their passion and devotion to their vocation.
The screening starts at 12:10. Part 1 (about Yuri Solomin), duration 1 hour 11 minutes.
