XII INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL «OSTROVSKY IN THE HOUSE OF OSTROVSKY»
Dear friends,
We are pleased to inform you that in May 2018, a new edition of the festival «OSTROVSKY IN THE HOUSE OF OSTROVSKY» will be held at the Maly Theatre. The festival is a tribute to the memory of the great Russian playwright. This year's edition marks the 195th anniversary of Alexander Nikolaevich Ostrovsky.
This year the festival's program includes six theatres. According to tradition, it will be opened by the Maly Theatre. All the performances will be shown on the Main Stage.
THE PARTICIPANTS OF THE XII INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL «OSTROVSKY IN THE HOUSE OF OSTROVSKY»
May 11 - «THE HEART IS NOT A STONE» (Maly Theatre, staged by Vladimir Dragunov). The show shall start at 19:00. Opening of the festival.
May 12 - «A PROFITABLE POSITION» (Yugoslav Drama Theatre, staged by Egon Savin). The show shall start at 19:00.The performance is accompanied by Russian subtitles.
May 13 - «LOVE LACES» (based on «The Marriage of Belugin») (St. Petersburg State Youth Theatre on Fontanka, staged by Semyon Spivak and Mikhail Chernyak). The show shall start at 18:00.
May 14 - «WOLVES AND SHEEP» (Rybinsk Drama Theatre, directed by Pyotr Orlov). The show shall start at 19:00.
May 15 -«DIAMOND CUT DIAMOND» (Moscow Provincial Theatre, staged by Sergey Bezrukov). The show shall start at 19:00.
May 16 - «WOLVES AND SHEEP» (Nizhny Novgorod Academic Drama Theatre named after M. Gorky, staged by Alla Reshetnikova). The show shall start at 19:00.
May 17 - «IT'S NOT ALL SHROVETIDE FOR THE CAT» (Riga Mikhail Chekhov Russian Theatre, staged by Igor Konyaev). The show shall start at 19:00. Closing of the festival.
